Platform Luxury Deck & Porch is an experienced contractor specializing in outdoor carpentry and general contracting based out of Niles, Michigan. We are a Michigan Licensed Residential Builder (License Numbers 2102203208 and 2101202232) and can carry a local contractor license and bond in any Indiana jurisdiction.

  • Platform obtains Building, Zoning, SESC, Environmental (Michigan EGLE and Indiana DNR/IDEM), Soil Erosion (Michigan SESC and Indiana SWCD), and navigable waters (USACE) permits as required. We can pull these permits or assist in navigating compliance. We are well versed in compliance with IRC/IBC, Part 353 Critical Dunes and Part 323 High Risk Erosion Areas.

  • Platform carries Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Automotive Insurance. Certificate of Insurance to holder available upon request. We are able to obtain Bid, Performance, and Payment Bonds when required.

  • Platform can produce renderings, construction drawings, and detail drawings in-house using Chief Architect and Sketchup.

  • Platform staff includes administrators, project managers, site superintendents, and over a dozen skilled carpenters. We also have a generous network of subcontractors including MEP. We are outfitted to GC and manage subs from concrete and roofing to directional underground boring and barge work.

  • Platform projects include top level management services. Let us work with your team to hone in on budget and schedule. We host submittals and specifications logs, and regularly scheduled pre-construction, progress, and post-construction meetings. Maintaining this high level of communication keeps projects on schedule, in budget, and built as planned.

  • Platform has experience with an expansive library of outdoors building materials and vendors. We have relationships with brands like Thermory USA - Modified Wood Decking, Mbrico - Tile Decking, Feeney - Railing, Kalamazoo Outdoor Gourmet - Kitchens and Grills, Finnleo - Saunas, and many more. Working with Platform includes the full resources of these premium brands to design amazing spaces.
